Projects

During the 20-month scholarship, the development and implementation of a student research project is the focus of activities. The topics are proposed independently by the scholarship holders and are interdisciplinary. During the research, the team members contribute their skills and continuously expand them.

The groups are encouraged to develop solutions independently. They are accompanied by supervisors (active or retired professors) and tutors, both professionally and personally.
In the initial phase of the project work, a hypothesis underlying the chosen topic must be developed and tested with scientific methods. The team then derives ideas for implementation from the research results, which have high practical relevance. Throughout the entire time, the group members contribute their expertise and deepen it at workshops and seminars.

In doing so, they acquire further interdisciplinary competencies and strengthen their soft skills.

GenBridge: 1st event coming soon

Project News |

Over the past few weeks, our team has been refining the direction of our project. While we initially aimed to address loneliness among the elderly, we’ve since adjusted our focus to create a more executable and sustainable form of intergenerational exchange.
Going forward, we’re looking to connect senior students with younger students—facilitating interactions not only based on shared personal interests but also on academic and professional topics. We believe this approach will foster more meaningful and reciprocal exchanges between generations.
Our first event to bring both groups together is currently in the planning stage and scheduled for 20.07. (any TUM JA members are obviously also very welcome!)
