[SciCom] Begin of the alpha test

The basic structure of our website has been created. Next week, our alpha test will take place with different test subjects. We want to get feedback on our application through a "thinking aloud": Our test subjects use the website, while they voice their thoughts aloud and give us important information on improvement opportunities. We are very excited about the results!

[Scienciety] Future Lab I - 26.01.2019 to 27.01.2019

Over the weekend amidst the snow covered Bad Tölz, we presented our initial findings and draft research questions. We defined our core problem - Children have a lack of understanding and knowledge about scientific thinking. We had very productive sessions which kept us motivated for the next phase.

We have now found a student assistant who will program our app/website! We are looking forward to the collaboration and are curious about the result. At the same time, we are developing a concept for the test phase of the application and will contact potential test persons in the coming weeks.

[SciCom] Interviews with politicians, scientists and NGOs

Team SciCom has begun conducting interviews. Over the last few weeks, we met with politicians from the Green party and SPD as well as with an NGO. They gave us valuable insights into the political advisory process and its perceived deficits. Our next interview will be with a scientist from TUM. Buddy for Refugees willkommen für das Sommersemester 2018

Das seit 2015 bestehende Gasthörerprogramm für Geflüchtete an der TUM geht mittlerweile in das sechste Semester. Erneut können Geflüchtete im Laufe des Semesters Einblicke in das akademische Umfeld erhalte, Vorlesungen ihrer Wahl und Sprachkurse belegen sowie ihre Affinität zu einem konkreten Studiengang prüfen. Dabei werden sie von Ehrenamtlichen aus dem Netzwerk der TUM als Buddy begleitet.…
