Climate Barriers
Why is climate knowledge not turned into action?
The problem we want to explore: The implementation gap in local climate action (i.e. the lack of mitigation/adaptation initiatives)
We want to identify and map out the barriers to climate action for three actors: individuals, local politicians and organizations in Munich. In phase one, by conducting interviews and surveys we aim to analyze the problem and collect data on the most relevant real life barriers that the three actors face. For this phase, we intend to form three groups of three, each focusing on one actor to collect the data over the span of five months. In phase two, we want to cluster, compare and map the found barriers, to come up with possible solutions.
