Our foam fractionation project has reached an important milestone. Building on earlier work with individual PFAS compounds, we are now testing a comprehensive mixture provided by Fraunhofer to better reflect real-world contamination scenarios. For the experiments, we finalized our surfactant selection: CTAC and SDBS will serve as established benchmarks, while ethyl lauroyl arginate (ELA) introduces a promising biodegradable alternative. The laboratory setup is complete, with a custom-built one-meter column equipped with precise air injection and multiple sampling ports. After initial stability and reproducibility trials, the first experimental runs with reference water are now about to begin.
