Projects

During the 20-month scholarship, the development and implementation of a student research project is the focus of activities. The topics are proposed independently by the scholarship holders and are interdisciplinary. During the research, the team members contribute their skills and continuously expand them.

The groups are encouraged to develop solutions independently. They are accompanied by supervisors (active or retired professors) and tutors, both professionally and personally.
In the initial phase of the project work, a hypothesis underlying the chosen topic must be developed and tested with scientific methods. The team then derives ideas for implementation from the research results, which have high practical relevance. Throughout the entire time, the group members contribute their expertise and deepen it at workshops and seminars.

In doing so, they acquire further interdisciplinary competencies and strengthen their soft skills.

Team Quintessence gets on shortlist of TFLI

Projekt News |

The lecture break concept of Team Quintessence got picked for phase 2 of the TUM Future Learning Initiative. The TFLI aims to reform teaching at TUM and also to involve students in this process. Every TUM student was able to send in a concept and ideas on how to improve teaching at the university. As our concept got picked out for the next phase, we will now have the opportunity to further elaborate our concept with the help of some experts. In September, there will then be a university-wide online voting on which concepts should be implemented at TUM.

You can find out more about our lecture break concept on our website https://www.ja.tum.de/projekte/2019-quintessence/
