Projects

During the 20-month scholarship, the development and implementation of a student research project is the focus of activities. The topics are proposed independently by the scholarship holders and are interdisciplinary. During the research, the team members contribute their skills and continuously expand them.

The groups are encouraged to develop solutions independently. They are accompanied by supervisors (active or retired professors) and tutors, both professionally and personally.
In the initial phase of the project work, a hypothesis underlying the chosen topic must be developed and tested with scientific methods. The team then derives ideas for implementation from the research results, which have high practical relevance. Throughout the entire time, the group members contribute their expertise and deepen it at workshops and seminars.

In doing so, they acquire further interdisciplinary competencies and strengthen their soft skills.

CrowdTUM - March 2020 Update

Projekt News |

New project categories are going to be promoted and funded! And some of our further plans for the future.

What we are currently working on:

  • Translating every page into both English and German

  • Working with the Alumni and Carrer Departement of TUM on getting more reach and publicity

  • Restructuring the platform for more transparency and a more diverse range of projects

    • Regular blog posts on the crowdTUM and JA websites

    • Expanding from scientific projects to all sorts of projects (e.g. social, entrepreneurial, and "fun" projects) but by keeping additional support for scientific ones

    • We hope expanding the project portfolio will increase the interest and reach of crowdTUM

  • Planning a social media campaign in collaboration with TUM and TUM:JA.

As always, for questions, feedback or comments feel free to contact us via crowdtum@ja.tum.de or via our social media (instagramFacebook).

Stay safe and healthy! :)
