TUM: Junge Akademie starts on behalf of the TUM as one of the numerous official organizers of the Flower Power Festival Munich. Students, staff, alumnae and alumni of the Technical University of Munich can expect a colorful and participative program during the festival.

A first highlight is the TUMJA Writing Workshop, which is creatively integrated into the festival program with this year's motto "Stilblüten" ("Style Blossoms"). From June to October 2023, book lovers from around TUM are invited to learn how to write literary texts and "blossom" in their use of beautiful words. Participants can write short stories that are far removed from scientific texts and that celebrate the festival's motto at their core. They will be supported by authors and experts from the literary world. The workshop will conclude with a public reading. More details on registration will follow.

About the Festival

Under the motto "Natur feiern in der Stadt" ("Celebrating Nature in the City") the Flower Power Festival Munich will take place from February 3 to October 7, 2023. After the nationally sensational Faust Festival 2018, it is to be the second major event in the Bavarian capital in which everyone can participate - whether large institutions, small associations, renowned cultural institutions, well-known parks or private initiatives. The four initiators include the Kunsthalle München, the Bavarian Museum of Natural History, the Munich-Nymphenburg Botanical Garden and the Gasteig HP8.
