Exchange and Collaboration

The EuroTeQaThon opened with icebreakers and a boat tour through Copenhagen, taking participants past the Little Mermaid and on to Reffen. With food, music, and plenty of conversation, the group quickly settled in, setting the tone for an open and international weekend.

Over the following days, workshops and peer coaching took center stage, including sessions such as “Technology Leave No One Behind.” The teams gave each other valuable feedback, challenged their approaches, and sharpened their solutions together. At the same time, they were challenged to get creative and prepare posters for the Demo Day under time pressure.

Solutions with Impact

On the final day, the teams presented their projects to the jury and audience. The focus was on topics ranging from circular economy and marine sustainability to digital infrastructure and industrial processes.

The winning teams were BESSaaS from École Polytechnique, Peak Response from DTU, and Splitter from TU/e. The Audience Award went to ParkInsense from TU/e. The awarded projects show the diversity and practical relevance of the ways the teams tackled current challenges.

A European Learning Format

The EuroTeQaThon once again demonstrated what challenge-based learning can achieve in an international setting. Students collaborated across national, disciplinary, and institutional boundaries, shared knowledge, and strengthened their solutions through mutual support.

This combination of learning process, team spirit, and international exchange is what makes the format especially valuable. It helps teams further develop their ideas and gain early access to new European markets and networks.
